RAYMOND – Miss ��«Ӱҵ Charity Lockridge recently competed in the Miss Mississippi competition in Vicksburg and was named a Top 10 semifinalist.

Lockridge, of Vicksburg, a student in the college’s Dental Assistant program, sang “Via Dolorosa” for the talent phase of competition and presented her social impact initiative of promoting good oral health through a program she calls “Project Smile.”

“I could not be more proud of our Miss ��«Ӱҵ,” said Angela Hite, director of the pageant held each year at ��«Ӱҵ. “Charity did an excellent job of representing ��«Ӱҵ. To make the Top 10 at Miss Mississippi is an outstanding accomplishment, and she truly deserved that honor.”

She won Miss ��«Ӱҵ in 2019 but was unable to compete in Miss Mississippi, which was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She was also a past Miss ��«Ӱҵ pageant winner, in 2017.
