Several 葫芦影业 art students won awards in the Mississippi Community College Art Instructors Association competition held at Northwest Mississippi Community College. One student, Brianna Williams of Brandon, won Best in Show and a first place. Two other students won first place awards.

Other students selected for the 2023 MCCAIA competition include Lily Belle Cole of Clinton, Catherine Dean of Raymond, Tremond Ellis of Vicksburg, Ava Estes of Flora, Jamarion Gipson of Jackson, Olivia Hellings of Jackson, Lydia Jarrell of Fulton, Mike’la Nelson of Jackson, Jamiah Smith of Byram, Nathanael Smith of Jackson, Fakeyra Thomas of Fayette and Karina Trejo of Clinton.
These works are currently in the Marie Hull Gallery as part of the Annual Fine Art and Graphic Design Student Exhibit, which ends April 27. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday鈥揟hursday and 8 a.m. to noon on Friday.
