Deans’ Scholars are those students with a cumulative 3.5 to 3.9 grade point average.

President’s Scholars are those with a cumulative 4.0 grade point average.

“Graduation means the world to me, especially with the accolades and opportunities I’ve received. This has given me confidence and the much needed belief in myself.”

Twenty First Team members from across the nation are named annually with each receiving a $5,000 scholarship.

Legislators appropriated $24 million over two sessions and Rankin County Supervisors have also committed to assisting with the funding.

Retired baseball coach George McQuitter was inducted into the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges Sports Hall of Fame on April 25.

Transferring from ��«Ӱҵ’ Honors Institute to the University of Southern Mississippi Honors College will be a bit smoother now.

��«Ӱҵ has selected its first group of honorees in its new employee recognition program called IDEAList.

“��«Ӱҵ is one of those partners that I think does it (workforce training) better than anyone else in the state of Mississippi. They pour themselves into their community and into the people that live within their region, trying to help them where they are and give them hope,” said Ryan Miller, Executive Director of the Mississippi Office of Workforce Development for AccelerateMS.
